A ground-breaking intensive workshop focusing on basic design and product development for SMEs on textile and jewellery sectors was conducted on 31 October to 8 November 2022. It aims to harness the potential of locally sourced natural fibres, natural dyed weavings, and eco-friendly materials to promote sustainable practices in the textile and jewellery sectors on Lombok Island, as a pilot region. The success of the workshop series was most evident in the development of the first prototype, which was proudly presented during the Lombok Sumbawa Tenun Festival’s fashion show and exhibition on 1st December 2022.
